A contemporary architecture of shading devices (multi level pergolas) combined with terracotta tiled facade contrasts with the Indian green marble and Kota flooring. These pergolas shield the south facing home from the Sun and create dramatic patterns on the facade. The front balcony encourages engagement with the street. The living, dining and family spaces flow into one another. The first floor houses 3 bedrooms and a family room. A Gym space opening on to a covered terrace was added to the last floor. Use of local Indian stones-green marble, Kota, Sadarahalli throughout the home and contrasting them with bright furniture and teak wood joinery lends an eatthy aesthetic vibe to this home.
The pedestrian gate leads to the main door via a hand dressed sadarahalli (local grey granite) pathway flanked by large tropical foliage.
Double height living room
The double height sunken living room has large north facing windows which bathe this level in natural light.
The open plan highlights the use of Indian stones - living with the Indian green marble and Kota for the Dining, Pooja, staircase and family room
All the living areas on the ground floor overlook the rear verandah including the first floor bedroom bay window
The 23 ft. double height living room with large floor to ceiling windows, blur the boundaries and bring the outdoors in which bathe the entire two & a half storey home in an abundance of natural light
